Sofion Publishing House was founded in 2003 by EXPA Group Ltd. specialized in veterinary drugs production and distribution.
Some problems with pharmacological products distribution and application made obvious the shortage of Russian literature on small animal physiology, pathophysiology and veterinary medicine. Publishing of much needed veterinary book, seemed to EXPA Group Ltd plausible as there were possibilities to invite highly qualified, translators and scientific editors and also to use the already developed advertising and distribution facilities.
Hence the Sofion Publishing House was organized with the aim to publish veterinary science books, mostly translations from European languages, as well as popular books in animal life. Following the best traditions of such Russian Publishers as MIR, the utmost importance has been given to the high quality of translations.
